Tradition and modernity, legacy and contemporaneity, knowledge of ancestors and reverence, with two of the most notable artists of Spanish popular music in recent years: the Galician Baiuca and the Asturian Rodrigo Cuevas. In fact, their paths ended up crossing on "Veleno", one of the tracks on the Galician's latest album. They arrive at Noches del Botánico forming a double bill in which both will offer their art of fusion.
Alejandro Guillán, which is the real name of Baiuca, gives a good account with his folktronic proposal of all the baggage of Galician folk brought up to date. The one in which the cantigas, the myths of the meigas, the witchcraft and the Santa Compaña are sifted through an explosive alloy that unites the ancestral tradition and the club culture with an astonishing skill.
Rodrigo Cuevas, scenic animal if ever there was one, vocalist, performer and total entertainer, will delve into a discography that through coplas, fandangos, muñeiras or xiringüelus that are adapted to a digital calligraphy, fully of the XXI century, shows his deep knowledge of the Asturian folk styles but also Galician, in a discography whose latest chapter has been produced by Eduardo Cabra (Visitante), from Calle 13, after that spectacular Manual de Cortejo (2021), produced by Refree.
