Two generations of flamenco come together tonight. On the one hand, the historic Diego El Cigala, born in Madrid and Dominican by adoption, author of unforgettable milestones such as the album Lágrimas negras (2003), together with Bebo Valdés. On the other hand, the thriving youth embodied by the quartet AlgoRITMO, with percussionist Israel Suarez "Piraña", singer Ismael de la Rosa "El Bola", and guitarists Yerai Cortes and José del Tomate, a real super group.
Diego Ramón Jiménez Salazar, Diego 'El Cigala', represents better than anyone the ups and downs that flamenco has experienced when it has collided with other musical styles during the last two decades. Cuban music, salsa, Latin jazz or even Mexican music (as in the album Cigala canta a México, from 2020) have merged with flamenco throughout his vast career, in a series of albums that have earned him recognition through several Grammy awards.
The AlgoRITMO project is formed as a juicy artistic exchange between some of the most talented musicians of the new flamenco scene, such as percussionist Israel Suarez "Piraña", singer Ismael de la Rosa "El Bola", guitarist Yerai Cortés and guitarist José del Tomate. Four musicians whose combination must be greater than the sum of its parts, who will surely bring flamenco to a much wider audience than it is assumed.
At Noches del Botánico we believe that there is no age to enjoy culture, that is why all minors can access the venue regardless of their age. They must access with their corresponding ticket and accompanied by their father, mother or legal guardian.
If the age of the minor is less than 16 years old, he/she must always be accompanied by his/her father, mother or legal guardian.
