More than thirty years, from the indie rock of the nineties to a songwriter's song that only responds to his own pulse. That is the distance covered by the Vigo-born Iván Ferreiro, a musician who has created his own style based on perseverance, hard work and inspiration. The recent Trinchera Pop (2023) is one of his most adventurous works. He will be preceded by Los Saxos del Averno, a sextet from Madrid of hurricane-force r'n'b and jazz, which for years has become more than a guarantee on any stage.
Iván Ferreiro had been seven years without delivering a batch of new material of his own. Trinchera Pop (2023), in which he counts on collaborations a priori as surprising as Tanxugueiras, puts an end to that drought. And it is one of his most brilliant and risky works. He presents it at Noches del Botánico with his usual band: Pablo Novoa on keyboards, Ricky Falkner on bass, Xabier Molero on drums, Marta Toro on programming and Emilio Saiz and Amaro Ferreiro on guitars. It is, for the moment, the last chapter in a very personal career, since his solo debut in 2005 after thirteen years leading Los Piratas, which has led him to cover versions of Golpes Bajos, to collaborate with Pereza, Quique González, Bunbury, Antonio Orozco or Xoel López and to flirt with pop, folk, electronic and many other herbs, always with his unmistakable stamp.
Los Saxos del Averno became known years ago as a group that accompanied live bands such as Ginferno, Julián Maeso or Vinila Von Bismarck, but soon realized the potential they had to become the protagonists of their own history: Roasted Sinner(2017), their debut album, captured their ability to conjure the best of jazz, rhythm and blues and Latin music, with Dani Niño, Juan Carlos "Chavi "Ontoria, Adrián Costa, Miguel Benito "Pete", Luis Verde and Ariel Brínguez forming a sweepingsextet. Especially in their live performances, which transport the audience through a time tunnel to the fifties and sixties, always inviting them to burn their soles with great pleasure.
At Noches del Botánico we believe that there is no age to enjoy culture, that is why all minors can access the venue regardless of their age. They must access with their corresponding ticket and accompanied by their father, mother or legal guardian.
If the age of the minor is less than 16 years old, he/she must always be accompanied by his/her father, mother or legal guardian.
