From Venezuela to infinity. Two well-established bands, Los Amigos Invisibles and Rawayana, star in this double bill, with their mix of soul, funk, pop and Latin rhythms. An unequivocal invitation to dance in a night full of warmth and groove.
The fusion of ska, reggae, funk, soul, rock and Latin rhythms is the hallmark of the music of Rawayana, the quartet formed since 2007 in Caracas by musicians Alberto Beto Montenegro, Antonio Tony Casas, Andrés Story and Alejandro Abeijón. They have shared the stage with Viniloversus, La Vida Bohème, Los Mesoneros, Melendi, El Cuarteto de Nos or Los Mentas, and have released five albums to date. The most recent of them is "¿Quién trae las cornetas?" (2023), one of the most brilliant samples of their warm proposal, with collaborations with Danny Ocean, Bebo Dumont, Goyo or Monsieur Periné.
Los Amigos Invisibles are an indisputable reference of Venezuelan pop of the last decades. An example to follow for later bands such as Monsalve y los Forajidos, Algodón Egipcio or La Vida Bohème. Formed in 1991, they have released thirteen albums in which they masterfully combined funk, pop, acid jazz and salsa, attracting the interest of the Luaka Bop label (on which they released their albums in the late 90s and early 00s) and other multinational record labels. Multiple Grammy nominations and two Latin Grammys mark the career of Julio Cesar Briceño "Chulius", José Rafael Torres "El Catire" and Juan Manuel Roura "Mamel", who released a couple of years ago one of their best albums, the hot "Cool Love" (2022), a real joy on stage, as those who saw them at their Spanish concerts last year can attest.
