Both Rulo and Paul Alone are masters of pop and rock at its most essential, even though they have many years of experience between them. No bullshit. No frills. Without unnecessary adornments. Exactly like their way of understanding music: simple, diaphanous, openly melodic, starkly honest.
The Cantabrian Raúl Gutiérrez, Rulo, made history of the best urban rock español of the XXI century as the frontman of La Fuga, but his career as leader of Rulo y la Contrabanda considerably expanded his universe of references and the scope of his songs. Since he and guitarist Adolfo Garmendia, Fito, decided to leave that project to start again from scratch, they have released three studio albums and a live album, have toured more than a dozen countries and have collaborated with Fito y Fitipaldis, Kutxi Romero (Marea), Dani Martín, Mago de Oz, Sober or Enrique Bunbury, becoming one of the most reliable brands of rock in Spanish.
The pamplonica Paul Alone has always wanted to aim high. He went through the program "La Voz", where he became friends with Melendi, whom he opened for; he declares himself a multidisciplinary artist, cultivating his social networks with zeal, he has assumed with naturalness that his voice timbre is compared to Sabina's nicotine throat and managed to sign for the multinational Warner. And all at only 28 years old. His formula, which balances rock, rumba and singer-songwriter songs, is encoded in the effervescent eleven songs of "Y yo qué sé?" (2022), his first and only album to date.
