Music Day, summer kick-off and opening day of Noches del Botánico. All this happened on June 21. That is, yesterday. Accompanied by thousands of people, we launched the third edition of Noches del Botánico at the Real Jardín Botánico Alfonso XIII of the Complutense University of Madrid.

Surrounded by linden trees, roses and a hundred other plants, we welcomed the thousands of attendees who were encouraged yesterday to join us at the beginning of this exciting cultural festival that we call Noches del Botánico and that has only just begun. Here is a brief summary of the day...

Still under a blazing sun we opened the doors at 19:30. The attendees were taking positions between the Alhambra Club Zone and the main stage and, above all, in the shade of the trees that populate the Jardín Botánico.

At 20:00 we started the session of #ResidenteAlbi, one of the DJs that M80 lends us, with which we entertained the most punctual people in the Alhambra Club Zone.

And at 21:00 Seu Jorge kicked off. Illuminated by the light of David Bowie, the Brazilian artist gave us a live performance of his album 'The LIfe Aquatic' and played hymns like Changes, Let's Dance or Starman translated into Seu Jorge's language and interpreted with a taste and delicacy that took our breath away. A huge show without a doubt.

At 22:30, under the stars (the few that the Madrid sky allows), the concert by Elvis Costello & The Imposters, the highlight of the opening night, began.

Without a break, thousands of voices chanted each of the songs played by the magnificent British artist, who in more than an hour and a half gave a good account of a large part of his extensive repertoire. From Wonder Woman to Alison, Radio, Radio, Watching the Detectives and She.
