"Life without music would be a mistake"

Friedrich Nietzsche

We are in luck thanks to each one of you. With more than 50,000 tickets sold and the sold out sign in several of our concerts, Noches del Botánico has become an absolute reference of the summer festivals.

It is a joy for us to be able to celebrate our love for a profession and that musical diversity that we try to offer the listener in this house: to live according to what one agrees with (so difficult at times); to fall in love with the songs of a musician who sings because he has felt it, because he has lived it and because, therefore, he has the right to say it.

In this edition, which will soon kick off, we wanted to put together a line-up full of sharpness, versatility and, if you allow us, dynamism. So much so that we wanted to have "Unpublished Double Programming" in several of our concerts. Unavoidable appointments for lovers of (good) music, for those who summarize its essence in songs that elevate the soul. Appointments made from the affection that represents us and that will serve as an excuse to bathe the nights of this coming summer with happiness. Couples of artists who will pass through the stages of the Complu Jardín Botánico to throw the rest of what they have inside and destroy our voices.

DUAL PROGRAMS AT THE BOTANICAL GARDEN

The first night of these double performances will be tinged with Brazilian music. Milton Nascimento and Andrea Motis will turn the Botanico upside down, enclosing us in that paradise we call samba.

The next duet that we will be able to enjoy will be the feminine tear of Zahara and Ximena Sariñana, who will be watching us from the Olympus of indie music.

Paul Carrack, the man with the golden voice, will be up on the same evening as Scotland's The Waterboys, in a show that promises rock & roll in spades and flashes of soul.

On Wednesday 3 July it will be the turn of Beirut and Hindi Zahra who, with all the paper sold out, will show us why music has no borders. Two days later, one of the most eagerly awaited bands of this edition will arrive: The Roots. The Philadelphia band will be accompanied by Tank & Bangas, one of the latest sensations of this hip-hop that breathes fusion on all four sides.

The night of Juanes and Monsieur Periné will be hot and Latin; an evening for the shameless and the enjoyment of these two great artists from the sister continent.

New Yorker LP (Laura Pergolazzi) will give us her love in an intimate show in which she will present her fifth album, Heart to Mouth. Singer-songwriter Charlie Winston, guitar in hand, will be waiting his turn to show us his indie-folk songs.

One of the programmes we are particularly looking forward to is that of Melody Gardot and José James. Their talent and execution is as precise as a head-on collision; the exaltation of jazz thrills anyone who knows how to listen to the indecipherable paraphrases of improvisation. The next day, Snarky Puppy and Masego will continue to surprise us with their way of giving free rein to our feelings and expressing them with subtle delicacy.

Finally, the two concerts that should NOT be missed are those to be offered by George Benson and Tomatito, Chick Corea and Paco de Lucia Project... Words are superfluous when there is so much genius together.

These are "Unpublished Double Programmes" which, like ephemeral pleasures, will remain in our retina and will serve to unleash our thirst for music.
