There is no better way to round off the week than enjoying live performances by three key figures in the development of contemporary music. Next Sunday, Billy Cobham, Richard Bona and Alfredo Rodríguez will take the stage at Noches del Botánico to delight the Madrid audience in a show characterized by the convergence of styles.

To speak of Billy Cobham is to speak of one of the masters of the drumsticks. The Panamanian-American drummer has collaborated with jazz legends such as George Benson or Wynton Marsalis, who already know what it is like to perform in the magical environment of Noches del Botánico. His musical transcendence goes beyond jazz, something that is evident in albums such as Spectrum (1973), characterized by a marked variety of genres such as rock or blues. This work would open the way for a solo career that already exceeds thirty publications.

The former rhythmic base of the Mahavishnu Orchestra will share the programme with the experimental Richard Bona and Alfredo Rodríguez. Both return to the duo format to continue exploring the rhythms and harmonies hidden behind African and Cuban cultures, in a performance characterised by instrumental virtuosity. As a result of their great musical talent, Roots ( 2016) is born, a song by Alfredo Rodríguez, under the production of Quincy Jones, where Richard participates with his unmistakable bass lines.

You still have time to experience this unique evening in the most attractive enclave of the summer in Madrid. Tickets are available at the official sales points www.nochesdelbotanico.com and entradas.com. Come and make Sunday's meeting an unforgettable musical memory.
