The preview of the concert of Diego Cantero and his band at Noches del Botánico predicted that the night was going to be unique. It was the farewell concert of his #Dual tour and the stellar guests had been announced in advance. Everyone was expecting a great musical party. However, the result far exceeded expectations...
From very early in the morning, a tide of people crowded the venue to try to get their places in the front rows. Some stragglers were able to see, before the start of Funambulista's performance, the procession of Diego's friends before going up to sing with him. India Martínez, Marco Mengoni, Leire Martínez, David Demaría, David Demaría, Andres Suárez and the members of Efecto Pasillo all posed separately and together in a beautiful family photo, giving their support and affection to their friend.
We saw this before the start and also on the stage. One by one, they came out to sing along with Diego in songs that were inevitably chanted by the thousands of voices attending the concert. We saw Leire Martínez sing 'Volver a empezar'. She was followed by Marco Mengoni with 'Cosas que no quise decirte', India Martínez with 'Fiera' and David Demaría with 'Hecho con tus sueños'. With Efecto Pasillo we experienced a real stage attack, and the band gave way to Nau, Iván, Arturo and Javier. The icing on the cake was provided by Andrés Suárez, who seconded Diego in the second encore, 'Ya verás'.
To whet the appetite, we had the live performance of another friend and later regular musician of Funambulista, Alejandró Martínez, who presented his compositions.
