The sensation of seeing James Rhodes live is directly proportional to the relationship that the pianist maintains with his thousands of followers on social networks. They are interconnected, as they have a common root: the British musician's ability to connect with emotions and generate attraction and empathy, whether through music or his stories.

Because Rhodes's hands run across the piano keys with a lightness and intention sufficient to make each of the pieces performed lift and transport you; to transmit and move you.

A one-to-one communication is established, just as in the interactions he has with each of the people who write to him on a daily basis.

And also, as in the fantastic introductions that precede each of these performances. He intersperses his own anecdotes with anecdotes about the composers, which he brings to the present time with an enviable sense of humour. He talks about Bach, Chopin or Rachmaninov, about their adolescence, their motivations, their passions... as if they were people of the 21st century, and in this way he explains the works, before starting to play them, he creates interest and expectation and achieves even greater attention if possible.

And a clear message, which he expressed from the start: "The key today is happiness". Because for him music is a vehicle of pure happiness and celebration of life. And it is a luxury that he wants to share it with us.

We can't forget to mention the great band Animales, who accompanied us early in the afternoon in the Zona Club Alhambra.
