"Acting only when the artistic act remains pure".

Long gone are the memories of Russian Red when she clung to her acoustic guitar like a burning nail to enlighten us with her precious folk and made us fall in love with her sweet way of intoning each note. Long gone are those soulful chinks with which he conquered a country, teaching us that English was still the most melodic language of all. Long gone are the cigarettes and those girls who just wanted to have fun.

Lourdes has grown older -as have we all- and her compositions have matured towards electronic and avant-garde pop. Since her Californian exile, our protagonist has been able to maintain that independent essence that defines her and must have understood that perhaps, by turning towards a more commercial style, her path in this convoluted profession, she could achieve greater success. One cannot reproach her for her design.

With four albums under her belt, half the world under her belt and that exquisiteness for the beautiful, Russian Red returns home and does so by visiting ours. The singer-songwriter from Madrid will be in charge of closing this edition of Noches del Botánico with a show that promises surprises and kilos of expressiveness. It will be the perfect opportunity to celebrate that more than a decade has passed since her debut album, I Love Your Glasses (2008), and to show us that she still has the desire intact to thrill us. To vibrate. To jump. Get carried away...

For this farewell night, the alternative rock band Rufus T. Firefly will offer us an explosive cocktail of versions that will serve as the perfect pairing to whet our appetite. The live performances of the band from Aranjuez leave no one indifferent. We take it for granted that on July 31 they will set the Botanical Gardens on fire in style.
