Noches Del Botánico was awarded this Thursday 14th March as the most sustainable and environmentally committed festival in the Iberian Peninsula. This was decided by the votes of the public and the jury of the fourth edition of the Iberian Festival Awards, organised by the Portuguese and Spanish music industry. The event is held as part of Talkfest, an international festival forum which this year takes place between the cities of Vigo and Lisbon from 13 to 22 March.

Noches Del Botánico is housed in an exclusive open-air natural enclosure, located in the Royal Botanical Garden Alfonso XIII of the Complutense University of Madrid, with a surface area of more than 6000m2 and more than 800 different plant species.

The careful integration of the festival in the environment, the result of planning and action together with the team of the Botanical Garden of the Complutense University of Madrid, and the use and reuse of natural materials such as wood, reaffirm our commitment to sustainability and the responsibility of creating a circular economy.

The festival pays special attention to the cleaning service, before, during and after the events, achieving a perfect coordination with the recycling system and the waste collection service of the Madrid City Council, in order to mitigate the impact of our packaging on the environment and to be one of the most experiential festivals.

With a reduced and exclusive format, the festival allows spectators to enjoy a carefully selected and varied musical programme. Every year it brings together top national and international artists on its stages, together with new talents in contemporary music.

Noches del Botánico would like to take this opportunity to thank the Complutense University of Madrid, sponsors Cervezas Alhambra, Coca-Cola, Bacardí and media partners El País, Cadena Ser and Mondo Sonoro for helping us to become a festival of reference.
