To have, for the second year in a row, the 'opening' party of the Rototom Festival at the Botanic is a tremendous honor. It is one of the most powerful festivals in Europe and certainly the most important reggae festival in the world and to be part of its family is wonderful.

The more so if it allows us to taste a piece of Jamaica without leaving the Real Jardín Botánico of Alfonso XIII. On Sunday July 22 we had on stage the Valencian Mediterranean Roots, who brought out the best they had to make vibrate the first to arrive at the venue, under a sun of justice.

They were followed by Emeterians from Madrid, accompanied by the Forward Ever Band. Vocal harmonies with flow and authentic positive energy that left the audience in high spirits.

The highlight of the evening was Ky-Mani Marley, part of the reggae lineage par excellence. Son of the great Bob Marley, he delighted his audience with some of the classics made popular by his father, and also performed some of his own songs. Undoubtedly, a good way to prepare ourselves for the party that will kick off on the 16th of August in Benicassim.
